Going for more of a pale fall, diffuse light thing.

I think of all the pages, this one benefits the most from the transition to color.  Perfect? No.  Fun? Hell yes :)

Besides some future tweaks...here's page 6! Not quite sure how the whole thing is working. Trying to focus more on storytelling with color than true local colors. Next!

Darkness closing in and the last light of a dying day...Ooooooooh! This doesn't end well.

Page 4. I'm quickly reminded of how much I dislike flatting. That said; this page went the quickest in that regard. I also took some time to experiment on this one, though it may not show. Slowed me down a little, but it's nice to try new things...even if they don't work. This is also where the character Billy begins to separate from the group more. I wanted to show his detachment on some subconscious level.

It's been an interesting 1+ year for me. I took some time off from comics, thought I was done, went into carpentry for a little bit, now I'm back. Not by my will, but I'll take it as a sign that I need to be where I belong...in comics. I have a renewed energy and a different outlook towards what I was doing before! Plus, making comics doesn't entail having to work in -20 degree weather. Eff that. So, while there's a little lull in my transition (re-transition), I have, to my wife's great pleasure, decided to finish and color my Melonheads story. Plus I need some new samples. Here's to a new, familiar, better path! -Jon
